Kitchen Porter/Waiter

  • Samba Café and Grill was a busy restaurant/tapas/bar/café in the heart of Penzance. Due to the demands of the establishment and my ability to adapt easily to different work environments, I worked in front of house as a waiter and in the kitchen as a kitchen porter. Some of my duties included: serving customers, money handling, assisting the chef and closing the kitchen, making sure it was clean and ready for the next shift.

Stocker/Sales Assistant

  • Norway stores is an alternative convenience store in St. Ives selling a variety of world-wide continental ingredients as well as locally sourced produce. As a member of staff of Norway stores, I began stocking up the shelves, ensuring that both presentation and shelf life of products was correct. Soon after I began, I was promoted to sales assistant. This included till work, customer service and general security of the store.

        • Lordryans Bed and Breakfast in St. Ives. My role as a house keeper included: preparing rooms to a high standard for the arrival of guests; ensuring the common areas were cleaning and checking in of customers.

KP, commie and frier chef 

Porthminster Beach cafe is a very busy restaurant inn St. Ives. My role started as a kp, but was then promoted to commie chef after my first work season. My roles as a commie chef were: preparing and cooking up to the restaurants standards, general clean up of the kitchen and also worked in the restaurants frying section.

Organic Café

                                      Organic cafe is a vegan restaurant located in Lisbon. My roles there were:preparing all the ingredients for service, general clean up of the kitchen and served all the cold dishes.

I am a responsible, adaptable, flexible and hard-working individual. Although young, I have experience being in the midst of different cultures and systems, due to travelling throughout my life, which enriches me in people skills and understanding. I am able to work alone or as part of a team and I am very eager to learn.
